Dressmaking and tailoring training is designed for girls who are just beginning their education. The goal is for them to integrate into small working groups, independent of the center, and eventually establish their own home-based workshops after 2 or 3 years at the centre.
Classes take place at the Centre Technique de Promotion Féminine Kalasans. After 2 or 3 years, participants are invited to join small working groups independent of the centre, with the ultimate goal of enabling them to establish their own workshops at home.
Through dressmaking and tailoring training, the girls emerge as key figures responsible for their own growth and development, as well as that of their families and environment.
The cost of one year’s dressmaking and tailoring training for a young woman is 300,000 CFA francs (equivalent to 460 euros).
