Setting up small businesses

The apprenticeship projects in dressmaking, handicrafts, or catering and hospitality, launched at the Kalasans Centre, strive to train young women in creating, initiating, and managing small businesses. These endeavours empower them to showcase and market their creations. The ultimate objective is for these young women to attain responsibility and autonomy, facilitating their transformation and influencing positive change in the world around them.

Empowered through this initiative, girls emerge as protagonists, taking charge of their own growth, development, and that of their families and environment.

In numerous instances, financial backing facilitated by microcredits is essential until young women can achieve self-employment.

An initial capital of 1,000,000 CFA francs (equivalent to 1,525 euros) is required to start an SME.
